Live Streaming is Changing
By Tim Adams, Timato Systems
When the lockdowns hit in the Spring of 2020, many churches were caught looking the other way and had to scramble to find a way to get a live streaming solution up and running quickly. Often, this was done with a smartphone or tablet streaming through Facebook Live with mixed quality.
Pastors and tech teams were able to respond fairly well, considering the conditions they were operating under. As 2020 and the lockdowns wore on, opportunities arose to improve the live streaming equipment and quality. We saw churches taking advantage of their empty churches to do system upgrades ranging from a true, installed streaming system to audio and lighting upgrades, as well.
